8th day albergue San Saturnino in Ventosa

Another day on the Camino and we find ourselves with close new friends from all over the world. I have never seen so many happy, helpful people- everyone keeps running into each other at different stops- happy to meet up again and again- the grapevine keeps everyone up to date on everyone's progress. We all compare our various blisters and injuries and give each other sympathy. Busy night in Logrono yesterday- tonite in the small village of Ventosa- beautiful albergue- they are all different- some private, municipal or church. Some are very nice and some not but every day a surprise - until tomorrow

Outside patio with tired pilgrims
Typical bunk room

They even have their own wine label!

  1. Great pictures. What's the elevation? Is the wine cheaper than the water?

  2. Sounds like the relationships are one of the best parts of the trek. So cool! A once in a lifetime experience. Thanks for the updates...we miss you!
