Day 6-Estella to Los Arcos

Almost a week on the trail and many are suffering from blisters, sore muscles, tendinitis, lots of falls and a few serious injuries. Many have had to head home early. Surprisingly, the younger ones seem to be faring worse than the older peregrinos! Toughness comes with age. We are doing well- must be the age thing. A typical day starts early in the albergue- people start getting up at 5:30 or so- lights on at 6- then everyone up and out before 8- we usually leave by 7 after cafe con leche and bread. The coffee is wonderful-then 5-6 hours or more of hiking- early afternoon check into the next albergue, shower, hand wash your clothes and hang to dry- then explore, nap etc until dinner. Siesta is 2-5pm- dinner is late 8-9pm lights out at 10pm
More tomorrow

  2. Cafe con leche. Sounds wonderful! Do the days go quickly when walking or does it seem long? Love, K and K
