After a days rest we started off this morning from Fromista - a town I saw little of as I managed to sleep the whole day. I am better today although a little weak and dehydrated. We traveled just 20k today to let the body recover. Word spreads fast on the Camino grapevine and I have had so many people stop to see how I am doing.
The local people are so friendly too- shouting Buen Camino from there houses, honking car horns, re routing lost pilgrims- everyone you pass says buenas Dias and wishes you Buen Camino. It is amazing- even the school kids want to know where you are from! Many farmers put benches along there fields for rest spots. We have even had the locals come to tell us how good the water is in the town fountain. Tomorrow we reach the half way mark.
Church in Fromista
Nearly every town has a pilgrim statue

Two donkey friends who came out for a snack!
Everywhere along the way are old crosses- in fields, along the road, everywhere- all shapes and sizes
One of the churches in Carrion de Los Condes with pilgrims in front resting- beautiful inside- I lit a candle inside for Roxie
