Day 20 Leon

We have spent the day viewing the sights- there is a lot to do in one day in the city- amazing history told through all of these old buildings. It has been fun to be off the trail for a day but we head off towards Santiago in the morning. I thought we would share our day in pictures, so here it goes-
Casa Botines- Gaudi building
Detail of the fence around Casa Botines!
Santa Maria del Camino iglesia
Puerta del Pardon- the door of Forgiveness for pilgrims to ill to travel in medieval times (in the basilica church) to Santiago
The cathedral built in the 13th century
Inside- beautiful stained glass
And at night!

  2. So glad tou hear you had a day off and are enjoying Leon! That fence looks very wicked. Why? Is there a story about it? Love the cathedrals and old buildings, it makes one appreciate our heritage don't you agree? 2 more days in Kauai and then home. Piper is better but now needing to see an infectious disease doc for the path report of necrotizing granulomas. Light a candle for her and their family please! Love, K and K
